Lausanne Switzerland

Fall academic travel was spent with the 8th graders in and around Lausanne.

After a brutal 6 hour drive due to poor navigation of our bus driver, we arrived at the Bex salt mines.

Anyone claustrophobic? .....Good let's go!

A 100 meter well and no salt. That's a years worth of digging for nothing.

Riding the crazy train to the center of the mine.

Salt lick.

Next days stop was the Olympic Museum.

This ship (Vasa) sank on it's maiden voyage in 1628 not even traveling a nautical mile. It was brought up in the 1960's still in very good shape and restored.

See you in two days Stockholm.

After a long night dancing on a swaying ship we were happy to put our feet on solid ground in Helsinki.
