Madrid Spain

After a week in Mallorca we flew into Madrid to start our 2 week tour through Spain and Portugal. We arrived in Madrid late Saturday night on the 26th of December and decided to look for some Spanish culture.

The first bar we walked into was a smokey little place packed full of locals singing and playing traditional songs which was exactly what we were looking for. We met a friendly guy named Angel who bought us drinks gave us the scoop that it was a fraternity reunion that night.

Here is a quick video of the ending of one of their songs.

Strolling down the streets

Puerto del Sol with the "El Oso y El Madrono" (The Bear and The Madrono tree on the right). This is the symbol of Madrid.

Bubbles in Plaza Mayor

Buskers in Plaza Mayor

Great people watching in the Plaza.

Is it me or does Spiderman look like he just couldn't find his Santa Suit for the day.

Eating delicious Tapas in Mercado de San Miguel

Christmas (Kings Day) decorations were everywhere.

Palacio de Comunicaciones

Really good Pinchos. Don't ask me what the one on the left is.
